Transparency procedure 2026

The purpose of this Transparency Procedure is to invite applications and proposals and, where appropriate, to select one or more companies wishing to establish operations at the Port of Cherbourg.

It concerns more than 40 hectares located on the Flamands and Mielles port areas, for the period from 1 July 2027 to 31 December 2030.

The Transparency Procedure is open to all interested companies or groups of companies that have land and/or property requirements and wish to develop economic activities requiring close proximity to the water and to port handling facilities.

This procedure is open to dialogue and to the joint development of the company’s project, with a view to creating the most favourable conditions for its success.

Projects must necessarily support maritime traffic and/or the use of port handling facilities, and promote employment.

Property

The port has 2.5 hectares of buildings available, mainly suitable for use for general and marine commercial activities. They include

  • about twenty renovated, modular short-stay workshops offering between 200 and 500 m²,
  • 2 industrial/storage buildings covering a total of 7,000 m², with 5 to 7 m of headroom,
  • one 15,000 m² factory building with 200 parking spaces,
  • one 2,400 m² bulk storage hangar divided into two 1,200 m² units.
