Napoleon dry dock
Situated in the western part of the outer harbour, between the Caligny wharf and the hardstanding leading to Place Napoleon, the dry dock has a volume of 8,000 m3 and is 80 m long, 20 m wide and almost 7 m deep. Cut directly out of the rock to 4 m below sea level, the dock is separated from the sea by a double metal gate to ensure watertightness. Its sloping side walls and bottom slab are made of schist while the facings, shelves and channels are in granite.

- Allowable draught: sill at +0.78 chart datum, keel blocks at +1.17 chart datum
