Le pont Colbert
Opening times: two hours before high tide and 45 minutes after high tide

Description

Opened in 1889 and rebuilt in 1946, the Colbert Bridge has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2020. As the last remaining bascule swing bridge in operation, it is still operated by its original hydraulic mechanism and provides access for vessels to the commercial harbour basin.

A vital link between Dieppe and Neuville-lès-Dieppe, it carries more than 12,000 vehicles every day and handles around 1,400 manoeuvres for nearly 2,300 vessel movements each year. Its complete restoration, to be carried out between 2024 and 2026, will ensure the long-term preservation of this iconic structure.
