Creation of a 20 ha storage platform for LM Wind Power

Brief overview

LM Wind Power, based in the Port of Cherbourg since 2019, manufactures blades for the Haliade X – 14 MW. With the company’s needs for storage prior to dispatch growing, LMWP asked Ports of Normandy to create an extra 20 ha of space for it.

As a result we will be developing a main 30-metre-wide asphalt strip leading to the various storage areas, each of the latter comprising 8.5–9.5 m wide roads at intervals of 60 m.
